Windows Server 2008 Hibernation

In Windows 2008 Hibernation is enabled by default, this creates Hiberfil.sys on the root of the system drive and it will be almost of the size of the Phylical RAM. To get this space back from the system drive you need to disable Hibernation and delete Hiberfile.sys file. Below is the command to disable Hibernate.

powercfg.exe /hibernate off
